Meet Monica
Having been self taught in hair and beauty at a very young age, I decided to gain professional qualifications in order to pursue my passion. I am a Graduate with BA Honours and previously worked within the banking industry. I decided to finally pluck up the courage to leave my 9-5 in banking and follow my love and passion of becoming my own boss in the hair industry. Now qualified with experience, I am now a confident stylist, and hair extensions specialist helping women with all hair types with their very own hair journey. In 2002 I was sadly diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus which has contributed to me suffering from hair loss, hence my love for stylish wigs and long beautiful extensions. I wanted to be able to provide a safe space for women who struggle with hair loss and for women who just want volume and length to enhance their confidence. Our hair is one of our pride and joy, so why not take care of it by giving it the love that it needs. We need to look and feel confident for ourselves and having fabulous hair will do just that and more. I know how it feels to be vulnerable when going to salons that are over crowded. So I decided to make the salon private so my clients feel comfortable and relaxed at the same time. The shop windows are frosted throughout so that we can see outside, but nobody can look in.

Since becoming a Mother, I decided to expand my business from working from my bedroom in my Mother's house, to being mobile to now opening my very own hair extension salon on the 9th October 2016 in the heart of South West London. My goal is to make sure every woman feels their best version of themselves when they leave my salon.
The Studio
The service I offer is second to non. I remember when I was much younger going to salons on my own, and I hated every minute of it. I would sometimes be the first in and almost the last out. Everyone knows that if you are planning to have your hair done, especially on a Saturday just be prepared to book out the whole entire day. I also remember sitting under the dryer thinking to myself that, if I ever had my own salon I would never run it like the ones I've visited in the past. The services were slow, no customer service, no care for my hair and just no sense of feeling welcomed. Today I can happily say that what I spoke into existence came to pass, God really heard my prayers. I am now going into my fifth year of running my salon and I have successfully managed to deliver a 5 star Google rating so far with amazing customer service. There is no waiting around, which means you will not be spending the entire day getting your hair done. The salon is strictly by appointment only, offering my clients a unique personal service where full attention is received at all times. Clients are able to book appointments online by checking my availability. Aftercare will always be provided to clients when needed.
I strive to make my clients feel very welcome and at home here at the salon. Every client is important to me and needs to feel like the Queen that they are. My customer care makes me stand out as well as my professionalism. It has not been an easy journey, but it has been the best decision that I have made to venture alone into the entrepreneurial world. My reason for expanding is not only for my gain but to also to leave a legacy for my children and to give back to my Mum whom herself is a single parent, who managed to raise five children on her own. So I dedicate my business to my Mum and my son. Thank you both for being my biggest WHY and driving force.
